video feedback as a way to access the aestethics of machines
The camera is pointed at the screen, the screen displays what the camera captures. The space/time/computation delay between the two elements, the sensor/observer and the object/appearance/display is where the novelty emerges.
It's an exchange process, a feedback loop is created.
The feedback needs to be triggered by an external light source. Without the light it cannot exist.
The loop now is a mise en abime of the object repeating itself into oblivion in itself.
Then if we tilt the camera, give it an angle, the feedback will start spiraling and evolving. Soon enough we will see appearing organic patterns that we might recognize as biological in their shape, ressembling those of cells, of waterdrops on the glass of a car window, river beds, maps of shores and lands.

Using interface to improvise with the machine / perform interactive empathy with the machine in a möbius relationship.
I am creating a interface that would allow us to interact with the machine as a partner. Through software we would be able to experience improvisation/interactive empathy with it and discover new sensibilities.
